coaching at the vineyard
The Vineyard Church of Baton Rouge has coaching available for those who need the services of a Certified Christian Life and Health and Wellness Coach. The Life and Health and Wellness Program assists persons in improving their life circumstances.
What is Coaching?
Coaching is a one on one relationship that will help a person produce extraordinary results in their lives, helping them bridge the gap between where they are now and where they want to be.
You may want to consider being coached if:
1. You are in transition.
2. You are longing for change, but not sure how to begin.
3. You are looking for greater clarity, focus, and direction in your life.
4. You need assistance in meeting your health and wellness goals.
5. You are needing to better manage your time or life.
6. You are tired of procrastinating.
7. You are wondering what God wants you to do next.
What does Coaching do?
Coaching helps to focus and clarify what will make your life fulfilling. It encourages the person in self-discovery and elicits client-centered solutions and strategies. Coaching addresses the whole person, including physical, mental, social, and spiritual. Through the questions the coach asks, together you will define your goals and any obstacles that could stand in your way of reaching those goals. Action steps will be developed with assistance of the coach to achieve those goals. Evaluation of progress towards goals is ongoing.
Coaching assists the person to recognize where they are going and how they are going to get there. Coaching offers support and guidance along the way, and will hold the person accountable for achieving the goals that they make. A coach can inspire you to find creative options and will encourage you to complete the steps that will lead you to goal completion.
How Much Time Will the Coaching Sessions Take?
The person will work with a coach for a few months or longer, depending on what goals they want to accomplish. An individual session will last from 45 minutes to an hour for the first session and subsequent sessions for approximately 30 minutes. You may be given homework assignments - things to think about or research between coaching sessions. The frequency of the sessions will usually begin weekly, then decrease to every other week, then monthly for a total of 6 months if needed. Sessions will begin and end in prayer./ Scriptures will be given to meditate on between sessions that apply to the goals being sought by the person.
