Dear Vineyard Youth Parents,
I'm so excited to join you on the adventure of raising your youth in the Kingdom. Jr. and Sr. High is a critical time where youth have the opportunity to take hold of their faith and make it their own. Our youth have the same calling to ministry that you and I do and I’m honored to join you in empowering them to discover their life in Christ.
I look forward to returning to youth ministry. Before working at the Vineyard, I directed Christian youth camps. I enjoy the relationships and the crazy fun that come naturally in youth ministry and I look forward to getting back into it.
Your teens and pre-teens are full of passions, talents, and gifts. Therefore, we want to be a church (not just a youth group) that sees them for the young people they are. They are full partners with the Holy Spirit and therefore with our church. Not only do we want them, but we need them so that we can be a thriving church body.
As much as we desire to release them to do ministry, I also understand that they are adolescence. So our church and youth group is a place where they can explore and take appropriate risks in their Christian lives. That way we give them a bridge to adulthood in a safe, yet challenging environment.
In order for our teens to grasp Kingdom living you and I get to work in collaboration with the Holy Spirit. With his help and guidance, I believe that the youth of our church will rise to the challenge and be image bearers of Christ. We want to be a church that commissions, calls, and challenges them to rise up and do the Kingdom stuff just like the adults!
I look forward to seeing where the Holy Spirit is working and working with him in your child’s life.
