WHAT TO EXPECT
We Know...
going to a new place with new people can be intimidating, so we want to make your experience as comfortable as possible. We are just a bunch of people living life together and trying to follow Jesus. So, if you're up for it, we would love to have you join us!
If you decide to join us on a Sunday, then let us know by filling out the form below. Of course, you don’t have to fill it out, but if you do, then one of us will be waiting for you at the front door to show you around. We will help you find your way around campus, get your kids checked in for Kid’s Church, and most important, point you to the coffee!
You may be wondering...
When and where do you meet?
Our main gathering begins at 10:00 AM on Sundays [Café opens at 9:30 AM]. Our address is 16761 Tiger Bend Rd in Baton Rouge.
If you prefer to watch from home, our online service begins at 5:00 PM.
If I come in person, what are the policies concerning COVID-19?
We want to embody what Jesus said in Mark 12:31 - Love your neighbor as yourself. With that, wearing a mask is not mandatory but we do encourage everyone to remain sensitive toward one another. In addition, if you are feeling sick in any way, we ask that you join us from home for our online service [Sundays at 5:00 PM].
Through fervent prayer and intentional precautions, we are making it through this pandemic.
Do I have to say anything, give any money, or will I be singled out in any way?
No, no, and no. We will not call you out. We will provide an opportunity for our church family to give an offering, but for you, we have a gift. Let the greeter know that it's your first time and they will give you that gift. We will provide a safe place for you, not treating you in a way that is different from the way we treat our regulars.
What should I wear?
Whatever makes you comfortable. Really. You'll see people wearing everything from athleticwear to shirts and ties.
Come on, that's a cop-out! What do most people wear?
Ok. Probably 40% of our church wears jeans and a t-shirt. The rest is a complete mix, so, trust us, you won't be out of place.
What about my kids?
ages birth to 11: You can check-in and drop off your kids at the Life Center at 9:45 AM for worship and age-appropriate lessons. Pastor Nikki, our Kid’s and Family Pastor, will gladly answer any questions you may have.
ages 12 to 18: They join you in the main auditorium for worship, then get dismissed to meet with Pastor Issac, our Youth Pastor, for some fun and a Bible study.
