Purpose Statement (read this every meeting) -
We are a group of people meeting weekly to grow spiritually and in community. We do that by committing to each other, meeting consistently, praying for each other, being authentic and by placing Jesus first in our lives.
VC Values. (Choose one to read before each meeting)
Following Jesus - This means that as a community we are actively growing in our relationship with God and moving toward Jesus as the center. We do this by loving God and one another, reading God’s word and living it out. We’re learning what it means to follow Jesus in everything.
Authentic Community - We desire to belong to one another in this group. We need to be real and authentic with each other and those relationships come through living life together. This means we take time to play, eat together, and share stories. Reading God’s Word is important but so are going to the beach, football parties and hanging out.
Kingdom Service - The kingdom of God is at work in the world. God is working to transform all of life as it is intended to be. We want to partner with God where He is already at work. This involves engaging with non-Christians in real friendships and pursuing compassion and justice together. (It can be anything like attending a Vineyard serving opportunity or pursuing a justice cause we are passionate about as a group.)
Outward Facing - Outward facing means our community is always open to new people and is always growing. We care for the people who are here and constantly welcome outsiders in. As we’re living life together, we’re always looking for who we can include on the journey. This also means that as we grow, we’ll feel led to send people out from our group to start new groups and continue the outward facing process.
